Introduction of polystyrene material

Polystyrene, PS for short, is a polymer synthesized by free radical addition reaction of styrene monomer, it is a colorless and transparent thermoplastic. It is widely used in disposable products. Such as disposable tableware, and stationery and other daily necessities.

Excellent characteristics

1, very low water absorption, resistance to cold water, acid, alkali and other media.

2, High surface hardness and stiffness, good dimensional stability.

3、Good coloring, surface decoration and irradiation resistance.

4, low softening point (80~90℃), heat deflection temperature (18.2MPa) is 87~92℃, so it can only be used under 60~75℃ and low load.

5, excellent electrical properties, especially high frequency insulation performance is excellent, good arc resistance.

6, polystyrene PS molding and processing performance is very good, available injection, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming, foaming, bonding, coating, welding, machining, stamping, printing and other general thermoplastic molding and processing methods for processing, the process conditions vary.

7, colorless, non-toxic, odorless non-crystalline transparent thermoplastics, heavy average molecular weight of 200,000 ~ 300,000, density of .04 ~ 1.06g/cm3, light transmission rate of 87% ~ 92%.

Disadvantages

1、It is not resistant to heat and water, poor oil resistance, and soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketones and esters, poor resistance to environmental stress cracking.

2, brittle, impact strength is small, wear resistance, poor resistance to engraving.

3, poor sunlight resistance, flammable, yellow flame when burning, with black smoke, and a special odor.

Suyangplastic® disposable plastic tableware (knives, forks, spoons, etc.) are made of high-quality food-grade PS materials, which are approved by the U.S. Federal Drug Administration and have received FSC certification. They are clean, hygienic, economical, convenient and durable for both hot and cold food, perfect for families, parties, restaurants and take-out, etc.
